When Clients are Targets: Ethical Practice with Sexual & Gender Minority Clients in Challenging Times - Dr. Christopher Martell
Affirmative therapy with sexual and gender minority clients, considered clinically sound and ethical practice, may now be a politically subversive enterprise. This workshop will present, and allow for open discussion, of how to provide good care and protect the confidentiality and confidence of gender minority clients in particular, and sexual minority clients. Roll-backs in research and funding for topics of diversity may specifically disenfranchise clients with multiple, intersectional identities.
AI in Mental Health Care: Promise, Pitfalls, and Ethical Practice - Dr. Leanna Fortunato & Shireen Hart, Esq.
Mental health concerns have surged in recent years, yet access to care remains out of reach for many. Addressing the mental health crisis requires a multi-pronged approach. Artificial intelligence (AI) offers promising opportunities to re-imagine the delivery of mental health care. This webinar will explore the potential of AI to enhance mental health care, as well as the challenges associated with AI technologies and the implications this has for clinical care. Additionally, the session will review ethical frameworks to help guide the safe and responsible integration of AI into clinical practice.
