Alfred Goldyne, M.D.


Dr. Alfred Goldyne is a staff psychiatrist at Brattleboro Retreat, a specialty mental health and substance use hospital.  Dr. Goldyne earned his bachelor of arts degree in History, cum laude, from UCLA, and attended medical school at The Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed an internship in internal medicine at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, with a plan to proceed into neurology training, when exposure to and growing interest in psychiatry led him to switch fields and embark on a career in mental health.

He completed psychiatry residency training at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Goldyne's professional interests include the intersection of somatic and mental health, end of life care, equal access to mental health, LGBT issues in mental health and teaching medical trainees.
